Arizona State University - In addition to giving $1 million to support two professor chairs in ASU’s supply chain program, Avnet has teamed with ASU students to solve real business challenges. ASU students fill many Avnet internships and entry-level positions after graduating. Avnet executives also serve on the Center for Services Leadership, Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology and School of Global Studies advisory boards.

Texas A&M - A major sponsor of Texas A&M's 50th anniversary celebration, Avnet also participates in research projects with the university and has helped fund several programs. Texas A&M students intern at Avnet each summer, with several accepting full-time positions after graduation. One Avnet executive serves on the advisory board for the School of Engineering's Industrial Distribution program and was named Business Executive of the Year for his work with the university.
