Avnet Partner Solutions Named No. 1 Preferred Source in IT Specialty Distribution

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Avnet Partner Solutions, the leading value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, storage, software and services, has been named as the No. 1 choice by solution providers for IT "specialty distribution" in the CRN 2005 Preferred Sourcing Study. CRN, a leading IT channel publication, defines "specialty distribution" as distributors that focus on a particular market or technology, which includes providers of value-added distribution services such as logistics, financing, technical services and marketing support.
  
The CRN Sourcing Study measures the overall preference and performance perceptions that today's solution providers have regarding the strengths and challenges surrounding distribution partners, manufacturers and other alternative sources for products and services. According to the study, solution providers selected Avnet as their preferred source, validating the company's focus on providing superior customer service, technical expertise, and innovative services.
