Award Recognizes Avnet IP&E as One of Schurter's Key Distribution Partners for 2003
PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing, the largest operating group of Phoenix-based Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), announces the company's Avnet IP&E division has earned Schurter Inc.'s "National Distributor of the Year Award" for 2003. As one of Schurter's key distributor partners, this is the second consecutive year Avnet IP&E is being recognized for this award, having shown two consecutive years of double-digit growth in North American sales.
"Avnet's growth and success with the Schurter lines of circuit protection and power entry products can be attributed to their focused approach to penetrating key OEM accounts," said Leonard Overholser, Schurter national sales manager, in presenting the award.
Schurter operates worldwide and depends on Avnet's global distribution presence. The company's products include power entry modules, EMI/RFI filters, circuit protection devices, in addition to one of the largest lines of vandal resistant switch products.
