March 12, 2003 - Texas Instruments Names EBV Elektronik European Distributor of the Year 2002

FREISING, Germany -- Leading semiconductor manufacturer Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that it has presented EBV Elektronik, for the second consecutive year, with its European Distributor of the Year 2002 award due to exceptional overall resale performance. The two companies reflect on a ten-year relationship of mutual growth and success in serving electronics end-equipment customers in Europe.

"EBV again proved to be more than just a channel partner. With their design-in orientation and profound understanding of our market, they were especially successful in working with customers in the high-performance analog business to help them select the right products for their applications," said Paul Scholten, TI's Director of European Distribution & HVA&L. "We are looking forward to building on this relationship and expanding our business in the years to come."

Each year TI selects a European distributor that has consistently excelled in creating demand for its extensive product portfolio. For its part, TI continually strives to provide its partners with best-in-class services, such as extremely low cycle times for high-quality quotes, excellent on-time delivery, consistent responsiveness to requests and a premium technical support. Regular trainings of the field application team and special campaigns also play an important role in TI's European distribution strategy.

"Being recognized by one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers for two consecutive years is truly an honour. It also rewards our investments in better supporting our customers for designing and sourcing analog products," said Patrick Zammit, President of EBV Elektronik. "TI's enormous R&D investment guarantees a regular stream of state-of-the-art products which continually create new opportunities for us and our customers."

TI presented the award to EBV's President on February 10, 2003, at a ceremony held at EBV's headquarters in Poing, Germany.
