Phoenix, Arizona -- Avnet Electronics Marketing's Microwave Technology Solutions (MTS) facility has passed the ISO 9001:2000 certification audit with zero non conformances. Avnet MTS facility was previously certified to ISO 9002 and is now certified to the new standard, ISO 9001:2000. The new standard has a decidedly customer-centric focus, with more detailed criteria centered on achieving customer satisfaction metrics. It also includes more of an emphasis on continuous improvement, with explicit requirements for evaluation and monitoring of quality management.
The audit included Avnet MTS' engineering and design processes, manufacturing MRP and warehouse processes. Avnet MTS provides products and services for RF and microwave applications in military, aerospace, industrial and consumer applications.
